It's a snow day here in Colorado, so we're not going to the grocery store, and all of these dressing ingredients are already on our shelves. This apple cider vinegar dressing, with its tangy flavor and a touch of sweetness, is the perfect dressing for fall flavors. We like to make grain salads this time of year, but this delicious dressing is perfect for a simple green salad also.
This apple cider vinegar salad dressing is part of a series that we are doing about homemade salad dressings, ( see Mint grapefruit, dairy-gluten free basic, as well as hibiscus). We use this apple cider dressing to make our barley apple salad. If you are looking for more salad recipes, we have our black eyed pea salad, smoked beet salad, Greek orzo pasta salad, and even gluten free roasted chicken salad with tarragon.

Apple Cider Vinegar
There is a wealth of information online about the health benefits of apple cider vinegar. We are not nutritionists, so we will advise that everyone does their own research. Unfiltered apple cider vinegar, (like Braggs apple cider vinegar), has been linked to good gut health, among other things, by many experts.
No need to worry about any major allergens or dietary restrictions when it comes to this recipe. It's dairy and gluten free, and vegan, also!

Of course you can! You can even use fresh lemon juice and make a lemon vinaigrette using this basic build. Just keep in mind that other sources of acid may be stronger or weaker, so start with a small amount and taste as you go. Remember, always season to taste!
