Welcome to our page! Season Two Taste is us, Christine and Jason Miller. We are thrilled to have you join us!
Who We Are
Christine is an avid gardener practically obsessed with growing seasonal food and plants. She has had a long career in the kitchen, starting in Manhattan, New York, working on the line at some of the top tables in the country. Upon re-locating to Colorado, she has been the executive chef of multiple restaurants, and the pastry chef at the Mining Exchange Hotel/Springs Orleans where her and Jason worked together for nine years. Her contributions to the page are in the form of Chef, Content Creator, Editor, Photographer, and Director of social media.
Jason spent his entire adult life in the food industry, starting at 15 as a dishwasher. Moving his way up through the ranks in the "school of hard knocks". He worked around the gulf coast of the country, (St. Petersburg, Florida, New Orleans and Lafayette, Louisiana, Austin, Texas) rising to the rank of executive chef. In addition to his love of food in general, he have special interests in foraging for wild mushrooms, beer and fermentation. He is the Lead Writer, Chef, as well as a Content Creator for the site.
Where We Are
We are located in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado, at the base of Pikes Peak, America's mountain. We both treasure our city and home, and the growing and rich food culture here. We are proud to be a part of it, and look forward to sharing it with all of you!
Our Story
What sets Season Two Taste apart is our deep rooted love for seasonal and local cooking. We believe that at its core, cooking should be an expression of love. Eating and cooking are, agricultural and spiritual acts, and we strive to give them that level of respect.
What to Expect
- Recipes - We have a wide array of recipes to share. They will be detailed and in depth, with as many chef tips and helpful hints as possible. The recipe format quite often suffers from generalities and assumptions, so those will be avoided as much as possible. In their place, there will be very specific measurements and instructions, written in easy to understand language.
- Support - We look forward to hearing from you! It is our sincere desire to create a community base on a mutual love of cooking and food, Try the recipes, cook new things, and tell us about your mistakes, questions, and victories! We love nothing more than to explore and learn by helping you to do the same.
- Stories - Jason is writing a series of short stories based on the crazy, inspiring, and humorous kitchen experiences that he has collected over the years. They represent a raw and uncensored look at the world behind the stoves. Just follow the link "Kitchen Stories"
