Quick & Easy One Bowl Fluffy Herbed Couscous Recipe

 If you can boil water and chop up some fresh herbs, then you can whip up this fluffy and light side dish! It really is that easy and quick.

Ingredients
  

  • 1⅓ cup water or your favorite chicken broth
  • 1 cup dry Moroccan couscous
  • 1 tbsp. chicken bouillon paste
  • 1 tbsp. fresh rosemary stemmed and minced
  • 2 tsp. fresh parsley stemmed and finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil extra virgin
  • tsp. salt
  • ¾ tsp. black pepper freshly ground

Equipment

  • 1 small saucepan
  • 1 Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Chef Knife
  • 1 Cutting Board
  • 1 fork
  • 1 Measuring cup set
  • 1 Measuring Spoon Set
  • 1 Plastic wrap

Method
 

  1. Place couscous and fresh herbs in mixing bowl.
  2. Add olive oil to mixing bowl and use your hands to mix in the oil coating the tiny pasta grains.
  3. In saucepan, combine chicken bouillon with water (or your chicken broth).
  4. Bring saucepan contents to a full boil over high heat
  5. Carefully pour stock over couscous
  6. Stir through and cover tightly with plastic wrap quickly
  7. Allow to steam covered for 6-8 minutes
  8. Remove plastic and use a fork to fluff the tiny grains and break up any clumps.
  9. Season with salt and pepper and enjoy!
